Ideas for jamming and a new jam band

Keyboard player seeks to join/help create a new type of jam band… very innovative, inspiring and socially conscious...

We can start with covers, but I’m writing originals for mass commercial potential. My influences include rock, blues, psychedelic, trance-fusion, jazz, ragas, funk, country and more.

Let’s include lots of improvisation, especially when it rocks, resonates with strong emotions and gets people dancing!

Music can move the world!

Include a fine rhythm guitarist who's very likely available and possible drums, bass and lead guitar.

My playing
I like to support other musicians, filling out the band's sound in interesting ways. I'm evolving (and mutating : ) a new style and may take more prominent leads in future.

Here are two samples of my playing from this April. I'm on keyboards playing with other musicians.

A jam on Lou Reed's "Rock n Roll" is one of my first times playing this song. You can hear more of me starting around the 10 minute mark. To avoid cluttering your hard drive, you can choose to stream this sizable file. If you have trouble hearing it, click here!

Here's a jam heading towards "Cold Rain and Snow". I'm doing a Sixties organ kinda thang to round out our sound.

A creative jam is one good way for us to meet. You'd be asked to share studio rental, typically $12-18/person for two or three hours of improvisation. Whoever books the studio jams free, or we can take turns.

Most musicians like to participate for the full time. If you've got a limited budget or prefer to audition for an hour free, let me know and I'll try to fit you in.
